The Waynesboro Area School District board of directors approved the Health & Safety Reopening of Schools Plan at last night’s board meeting. Using this district plan, each of our schools will develop a school-based plan that will address the mandates and guidelines for reopening. As you have observed, nothing has been static in this process and there are daily updates. Parents will have an opportunity to view the school plans by the week of July 20th and we will establish a designated e-mail for parent/learner questions or feedback.
Please note—the District highly recommends students wear face covers. However, the State of PA has mandated face coverings, and the District must follow that order. We thank all the parents who responded to the June survey and will be following up with an additional survey. Information regarding the First Choice Learning Networks options for the 2020-21 school year will also be presented via a virtual meeting by the end of July.
