Summitview Elementary continues their participation in the Governor's Breakfast Challenge. The cafeteria served a cheese omelette with a biscuit, cinnamon applesauce, fruit juice and milk one morning for breakfast. They also served homemade sliced potatoes this morning with egg bites. Remember learners can get a free breakfast each morning at all schools!

This is a reminder to parents/guardians of the WASD sponsored community event to keep our children safe on-line on Thursday, February 19th in the Oyer Auditorium at the Waynesboro Area Senior High School beginning at 6:30. Due to the mature nature of this topic, the programming is not recommended for children under the age of 14. High school learners who plan to attend should attend with a parent or guardian. WASD Community members are also invited to attend even if they do not have children in our school district. Together we can work to keep all our children safe from the dangers of social media.

Summitview Elementary staff and students recently participated in the Governor's School Breakfast Challenge sponsored by Governor Shapiro to promote the free breakfast program that every child in PA is able to take advantage of. Staff along with guest servers volunteered to serve breakfast to our learners. The challenge continues until March 31st and is free for all students!
