The boil water advisory for the Borough of Waynesboro has been lifted. While our maintenance, custodial, and food services teams flush water systems, change filters, and sanitize equipment, we ask that students continue to bring water bottles through the end of the week.

The WASD school board recognition of the WASHS winter athletes has been rescheduled to June 9, 2026 due to the lack of planned attendees. The WASD school board meeting will be held at Clayton Avenue on April 14, 2026.
We are excited to announce our Waynesboro Family Learning Center April calendar of events! This April, we have Playgroups, Storytime, and our Kindergarten Readiness Series. Tara from Penn State is joining us again for her Eating Healthy on a Budget series! And Erica Freelove will be presenting a Summer Camp Workshop, highlighting different summer camp options in Waynesboro, as well as scholarship opportunities!

Summitview Elementary has officially completed The Governor's Breakfast Challenge for this year. Thank you to all the guest servers Summitview had during the Governor's Breakfast Challenge. Don't forget breakfast continues to be free for all learners throughout the WASD. The kitchen staff appreciates the support and help from everyone involved!
Waynesboro Area School District is proud to participate in the @GIANT Feeding School Kids campaign! From January 1 – March 31, you can round up at the register to support our district’s efforts to eliminate childhood hunger. Through this campaign, WASD can use funds to:
• Support school meal programs
• Expand food distribution programs

• Provide additional weekend meals
• Eliminate outstanding student meal debt

Waynesboro Maidens Youth Basketball Camp, Monday, June 1st to Friday, June 5th , 8AM-12PM at the Waynesboro Area Senior High School. Open to all girls entering grades 3-7 for the 2026-2027 school year.

Due to the overnight snow accumulation, the Waynesboro Area School District will be closed today, February 23, 2026. We will be operating on an FID day. Secondary instruction (grades 6-12) begins at 8:30, and elementary instruction (K-5) begins at 9:00.
