The Waynesboro Area School District wishes to thank the families and community members for their patience as we navigated the printing of our district calendars during a national paper shortage.
We are pleased to announce that district calendars have arrived and were distributed to all students this week.
If anyone would like a calendar, we have extras available at the district's administrative office building (Clayton). You may pick up a calendar during regular business hours.

The Center for Disease Control (the CDC) has announced that masks are no longer required on school buses. Therefore, as of tomorrow, March 1, 2022, masks are optional on school buses and vans in the Waynesboro Area School District. Due to inclement weather, Today, Friday, February 25, 2022 the Waynesboro Area School District will be utilizing a FID day. Students will work remotely from home. This day will not need to be made up.Â

Today, Friday, February 4, 2022, the Waynesboro Area School District was closed due to inclement weather. After discussions with PennDot, a bus contractor and transportation officials, the decision was made to close schools.
The decision was made due to the expected drop of temperatures later in the
morning. The major concern is the mountain areas freezing quicker than the lower lying areas. The timing and direction of the storm is very unsure. After consulting the various officials involved with providing our information, the decision was made to cancel.
We ask for your understanding in this situation. Many weather-related issues are not simple and easy decisions.
