Due to the pending inclement weather, the Waynesboro Area School District will be operating on an early dismissal today, Tuesday February 11th. Our secondary learners will be dismissed at 1:00 and our elementary learners will be dismissed at 2:00. All evening learner events are also cancelled.
During the month February, for every bag of our brand navel oranges purchased at Martin's Foods, $0.50 will go to support the Feeding School Kids initiative.

Today, Thursday, February 6, 2025 the Waynesboro Area School District will be closed and operating on a FID (virtual learning day).
Learners and families should follow the schedules provided by the building principals. The secondary instructional day will begin at 8:30 and the elementary instructional day will begin at 9:00 with the assigned grade level Related Arts rotation.

If the 2 hour delay needs to be adjusted to a school closing, this announcement will be made via a BORO blast no later than 7:00 AM. WASD will now be in session on February 17, March 17, and April 17, 2025 to make up the snow days in January. Moving forward, we will be using FID (on-line) instruction with our learners K-12 and building principals will be sharing information.

WASD will be operating on a 2 hour delay on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 as a precautionary measure due to the potential of icy early morning road conditions.
The WASD Facilities Committee Meeting scheduled for today, Monday, January 20th at 5:30 PM has been cancelled. The meeting has been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 18th @ 5:30 PM and will be held at Waynesboro Area Middle School.

From January 1 – March 31, you can ROUND UP at the register to support our school
district’s efforts working to eliminate childhood hunger. Through this initiative, WASDS and other public school districts can use
funds to support meal programs to expand food distribution programs, create on-campus food pantries and gardens, supply extra weekend meals, and eliminate outstanding student meal debt.
