Learners in Mr. Lorusso's class recently went on a walk rock to find rocks for their museum. Learners observed properties such as luster, hardness, color, and texture as part of their science unit on Rocks and Minerals. Later this week, they will complete scratch test labs for to identify different minerals in rock samples!

Today was a monumental day for WASD! The ribbon cutting ceremony of the Early Learning Center & Wellness Convenience Care were held with an audience of district staff, community members, and partners. The Early Learning Center supports the district and state P3 initiative & Wellness Convenience Care offers preventative and illness treatment for district learners and families.

Mrs. A. Shea's KDG learners had experiences with pumpkins today! For STEM, learners worked together to make 5 little “pumpkins sit on the fence." Then, learners used their five senses to describe a pumpkin. FInally, learners collected a leaf, made a picture, and wrote a sentence.
