Our next Shark Caught Being Kind is Jack, a kindergarten learner in Mrs. Cook's class. Jack makes and sells "Friendship Soups" to earn his own money and to help Jack learn and appreciate the value of a dollar. Jack chooses how he wants to spend his hard earned money and recently Jack has chosen to help learners with outstanding lunch accounts because Jack wants everyone to be able to eat at school. Since December Jack has donated over $500 to WASD! #bekind #SVsharks

Help inspire the next generation of empowered and healthy young women! SV will again participate in Go Girls Go, a program for girls in 4th-6th grades that is designed to improve the health and well-being for girls at one of the most vulnerable times of their lives. The program includes activities and group work that help the girls develop leadership and communication skills, improve self-esteem, build friendships, and increase their physical activity with the ultimate goal of running a 5k. This year's 5k will be Saturday, May 16 and is an opportunity for the girls, coaches, and mentors to celebrate girls’ fitness and personal growth developed throughout the program. At this time we are in need of mentors to commit to volunteering once or twice per week after school (3:30-5:00 pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays) at Summitview. Clearances are required (Go Girls Go will help). Summitview's session Our next session is March 5 - May 19th and our spring 2020 Go Girls Go! 5k is Saturday, May 16th at 9am!
