Summitview Elementary School

Our local firefighters visited Summitview today and gave our students pencils. We would like to thank them for visiting and for putting a smile on our students' faces.

We are receiving information about a road closure on Rt. 16. If your child rides bus 1, 17, or 57, the bus may be a few minutes late this morning, but please have your child ready at the stop at the typical time. Those on impacted bus routes will not be marked tardy.

Hello SV Families! Our district is in the process of hiring a crossing guard for the intersection of Route 16 and East Second Street. Until that position is filled, we will have a teacher at that intersection from 8:15 AM to 8:35 AM in the morning and in the afternoon a teacher will walk with the group of students crossing that intersection and the teacher will ensure it is safe for them to cross the street.

We would like to thank one of our SV grandparents, Mr. Beltz, for making this awesome sign for our small farm. Also, our three chickens laid their first eggs today.

It's a great night for the PTO family swim night! We would like to thank our PTO parents for putting this great event together.

We had our final back to school night event this evening. We would like to thank all of the families that attended. Tonight is our back to school night (open house) for grades 1st to 5th. The event goes from 6:30 PM to 8 PM. We hope to see you there!!

This is just a reminder that Back to School Night for grades 1st to 5th is tomorrow night. The event begins at 6:30 PM and ends at 8 PM. Chillin’ Out Snowballs will be in our parking lot if you are interested in purchasing a treat. Part of the sales will benefit the Summitview PTO.

Hello SV Families! This is just a reminder about our back to school nights. Tomorrow evening we are having our back to school night for all kindergarten families. If your last name begins with an A to G we are asking that you come at 6:30 PM. If your last name begins with an H to Z we are asking that you come at 7:20 PM. The kindergarten teachers have specific presentations for their classrooms. All other students (Grades 1 to 5) will have their back to school night on Thursday evening beginning at 6:30 and ending at 8. This event is more of an open house so you can arrive at any time between 6:30 PM and 8 PM. If you have any questions please call our office at 717-762-1191 x1800.

Hello SV families! A message went out yesterday regarding student dismissal numbers. We use new numbers every year so even if you had a number last year you will need to complete the form to have a new number for this year. If you have any questions please call our office. Thank you.

Hello SV Families! Please take a look at the email Mr. Pappas sent out to families. It was sent out a little after 5 this evening.

The elementary pool party is on 8/19/23 (7 PM to 9 PM). It’s free for all elementary families, including incoming kindergartners and outgoing 5th graders. We will have food trucks available for purchase. Families can also bring their own drinks and food.
