Mark your calendars for the Back to School Open House at WASHS!
As part of our ongoing commitment to student and staff safety, the WASD Police Department, in conjunction with the Waynesboro Police Department, will be conducting security drills at WASHS on Friday, July 28, 2023. During this time our campus will be closed. Additional training with students and staff will be conducted during the first 60 days of the 23/24 school year.
Class of 2024 & 2025 - please check your WASD email for information about signing up to purchase a parking permit. This information was also sent to families via BoroBlast email.
Members of the football team recently attended the New Oxford lineman challenge. Congratulations to Nate and Kean who finished 2nd and 3rd (among 300+ participants!) for best times pushing a wooden sled called The Beast! Mark your calendars for our fall sports community night on Friday, August 18 and our football home opener versus Spring Grove on Friday, August 25!
End-of-Year Lost & Found Items from WASHS. If you see something that belongs to your child, please call the main office at 717-762-1191 x1206 as we do not monitor the replies to this thread on social media. Items not claimed, when possible, will be washed and donated to charity.
WASHS was proud to host athletes from across our district who participated in "WASHS Games" on May 26. We thank the 100+ high school helpers who served as mentors to their classmates!

Anisa placed 3rd in the state of Pennsylvania on May 23, 2023 with her animated short film entitled "The Lockwood Killer," starring many of her family and friends. This victory follows up Anisa's 1st place win from March at Lincoln Intermediate Unit 12. Great work and congratulations, Anisa!
Our Envirothon team didn't earn 1st place at the state level this week but they are winners to us - way to go!
The stairwell between the main entrance and c-level got a "glow up" today thanks to our Community Arts class and the help of Mr. Fogle, Jeff, and Corey of our maintenance department. This mural features lyrics of the WASHS Alma Mater!
Today our College & Career Readiness class participated in mock interviews conducted by members of our district and community. Pictured are: Brian Fisher, instructor, Dustin Kunkle (Walmart), Scott Robinson (Walmart), Corey Duesler (WASHS alumni, student representing Manitowoc), Holly Miller (WASHS alumin, representing Patriot Federal a credit Union ) and Dr. Rita Sterner-Hine superintendent of schools.
