Due to the official closure of Pennsylvania schools for the reminder of the school year, WASD will be reaching out to learners to pick up personal items from lockers or desks. However, we are honoring the stay at home orders until April 30th. WASD learners and families will be notified of pick up options in May.

To all juniors and seniors who completed the online survey or called the main office and stated they needed a Chromebook you will need to pick them up today in the courtyard. Juniors can come between 9 AM and 11 AM, seniors can come between 1 PM and 3 PM.

A Boro Blast call and email will be out at about 2:45 PM. The calls and emails will be going to the contact information that was provided to the school by our families. This specific call is a reminder about providing students with Chromebooks and/or internet access.

In response to the current situation, Texas Instruments granted WASD free access to a TI-84 Plus CE graphing calculator emulator for Chromebooks. Mr. Kyle Smith pushed this app out to all secondary student accounts this morning. To access an "app" on a Chromebook, students must click on the circle in the lower left-hand corner of their screen. For juniors and seniors, Texas Instruments has provided temporary free access to a TI-84 Plus CE graphing calculator PC emulator. https://education.ti.com/en/software/update/free-ti-software-license-student

In light of schools being closed through Monday, April 13 and re-opening Tuesday, April 14, 2020, enrichment materials will be available on the district website and building websites on Monday, March 30. Learners are encouraged to complete the tasks for their grade level and you may email your child's teacher with questions. If your child does not have access to technology, hard copy enrichment materials will be made available. If you are in need of a packet because your child cannot access technology at home, please call your school’s main office and leave a message with your first and last name, your child/ren's first and last name(s) and grade level(s), and a daytime phone number. You will be notified about pick up time and location. Seating is limited due to precautions we are taking, so we have added a 4th performance of the All-School Production, Hello, Dolly! Online ticket sales are now available on the high school webpage for a Saturday matinee performance at 2 PM. Limited sales at the door are available for the Saturday evening show (7 PM) and the Sunday matinee (2 PM). The Friday evening show (7 PM) is sold out.

On Feb 27 at 6:30 PM families of current WAMS 8th graders and families of current WASHS 9th-11th graders are invited to our educational planning night. The event will be held in the WASHS auditorium. We will be discussing course selection for SY 20-21.

On Thursday, Feb 27, seniors will be dismissed at 11:50. The rest of the students will stay until 2:25 and will be learning about course selection for next year.

It’s official… Commencement 2020 will be on May 29th.

Today is a pre-scheduled early dismissal day. Students will be dismissed at 11:50.
