Hello WASHS Families, please review the information below about Keystone Exams and Act 158 Graduation Requirements. Click HEREto access a detailed letter about Keystone Score Reports (pg. 1) and a summary of Act 158 graduation pathways (pg. 2)

Official Score Reports from the Spring, 2022 Keystones will be distributed to learners by the end of the week during homeroom. This includes scores from Keystones taken at WASHS and at WAMS. A score of proficient or advanced on all three Keystones will satisfy each learner’s Graduation requirements set by the PA Department of Education in compliance with PA Act 158 of 2018. Act 158 goes into effect in all public schools in Pennsylvania beginning with the Class of 2023.

Act 158 outlines three pathways to graduation, one of which is proficient or advanced scores on the Keystones in Algebra I, Biology, and Literature. Because this law is new, WASHS administration will be hosting an informational session for families on Tuesday, October 25 from 6-6:30 pm in the WASHS auditorium. If you are unable to attend, a video and information will be shared in the October edition of the WASHS family newsletter.

If your child needs to retake one or more Keystones, we are making plans for after school review sessions and review resources. Please take a moment to complete THIS Google form  so we can finalize our plans for review sessions. Additional information about review sessions will be shared at the October 25 Act 158 overview.

Thank you for your attention to this matter and have a good evening.
