2. As a reminder, today was the last day of first marking period. Report cards will be posted to the Sapphire Community web portal on Thursday, November 2, 2023. Please review your child’s grades in the Sapphire Community Web portal to ensure they have made up all missing work and contact your child’s teacher first with any questions about report card grades.

3. WASHS will be running an internal early dismissal schedule on Friday, November 3 for reward/field day sponsored by WASHS Student Council. Additional details can be found in the newsletter linked above.

4. All sophomores will be taking the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery, also known as the ASVAB on Wednesday, November 1, 2023. This is includes those enrolled in Apex courses. The ASVAB assessment reveals learners' strength and ability in math, science, and language. The ASVAB can be used to identify career paths based on a learner's abilities. This assessment is free and scores may be used to satisfy an Act 158 alternative pathway to graduation.

10th grade Career Tech students must stay at WASHS on this day and take the ASVAB. The assessment should conclude around 12pm, and CT students have the option of staying for a study hall or may leave early. Those leaving early must provide a written note in the morning and must sign out when leaving. WASHS learners will resume their class schedule when testing is completed. We will ensure those who miss their scheduled lunch eat lunch before returning to class.
