A few reminders for our families:
First, tomorrow, Friday, May 12 is a scheduled early dismissal for WASD schools.
- WASHS dismissal time is 11:50 am. Breakfast and lunch will be served.
- We will open our day with a prom pep rally and mandatory meeting for 9th graders attending the Hershey Park field trip.
- Following the pep rally, students will participate in a career expo, where they will have the opportunity to hear from four of over 60 local guest speakers who are coming to share information about their industry, required training, and what it’s like to work in that field.
- Spring semester CareerTech in grades 10 & 11 students are staying at WASHS to participate in the Career Expo. CareerTech seniors will be at CareerTech for the morning and will return in time for WASHS dismissal
Second, an important message for our current 10th and 11th graders. The three-year lease on your district-issued chromebook will expire at the end of the year. The tech department will be exchanging these Chromebooks and chargers for new ones on Wednesday, May 24 and Thursday, May 25. Apex students, please contact Mr. Lane for information about coming in to swap out your chromebook. If your child does not have his/her charger, you will be billed for a replacement. To expedite the chromebook exchange, please visit the WASD Student HELPDESKto place a ticket to get a replacement charger. Graduates will return their chromebooks and chargers at graduation practice on May 30 and should follow the same directions if their device is damaged or if they are missing their charger.
Finally, I’ve made a few updates to the GRADUATIONinformation webpage. Some graduates have asked me questions about attire the night of graduation and that information was just sent to their WASD emails.
