The WAMS Walkathon is 10 days away! The purpose of the walkathon is to raise funds to support various school activities and trips throughout the year. The walkathon takes place during the day and participating students will walk the WASH track and then walk to Memorial Park for lunch and time to play kickball, cornhole, listen to DJ Carlson & hang out with friends An additional fun activity for 8th graders ~ there will be a water balloon toss for particpating 8th graders & Mr. Klink. Food trucks will be available for students to purchase their lunch.
In order to participate in the WAMS Walkathon students must raise a total of $25 or more in donations. The top 3 fundraising students will receive a prize for their efforts.
Friday, September 12 WAMS Adminstrators will be on the roof early in the mornng ~ wearing Tutu's & Tiara's if students raise $10,000 by that date. Also on Wednesday, September 17 any student who submits their walkathon form and donation will have an opportunity to particpate in the "Condiment Craze" where students can be chosen to spray condiments on the administrators during lunch!
The following food trucks will be at the park for students to purchase lunch from ~
Cracken Caterine, Feedbag, Antietam Dairy, Bella's BItes,Pretzel Spot Cafe, The Dough Father, Pap's Dog Stop, Maddie Ann's Perogies, CC Funnel Cakes, Kona-Ice of Martinsburg, Taco Trap, Redneck Foodie, Hard Shell Seafood & BBQ & Chillin Out Snowballs
Students have a few days to turn in their forms and donations. We suggest you send at least $10 for your child to purchase lunch at the food trucks or a school lunch can be provided.
