Hello Hooverville families, this is Mrs. Eberhardt with a message about our annual Valentine’s Day parties. WASD Elementary Schools will hold its annual Valentine’s Day parties on Friday, February 12. These parties typically include learners bringing in a valentines to share with the other learners in the homeroom. We plan to continue this tradition but must make some modifications for the safety of our learners and staff. Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- When your child is writing out his/her Valentines, please make sure to wash the area with a sanitizing spray or wipes. Also, make sure your learner washes his/her hands before touching the Valentines.
- When your child is finished, please put the Valentine’s in a sealed bag or container. Please label the bag/container with your child’s first and last name, grade, and teacher’s name.
- Valentines should be brought to school no later than Friday, February 5. This will allow the cards to quarantine for one week before being distributed.
WASD COVID-safety protocols will not allow us to have volunteers assist on party day.
