Dear Parents,
On Friday, October 29, 2021 we will be having Storybook Character Day as part of our Fall Celebration. On that day your child may dress up as a character from one of his or her favorite books. Children should come to school with their costume on and they will wear it all day. Keep comfort in mind. Some examples of characters might be Charlotte from Charlotte’s Web or the cat from The Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss. Please understand that this is not a required activity. You can choose to participate or not.
No “gory/violent” or “monster” type characters, please. Also, no weapons (play or otherwise) should be part of an outfit. Face coverings will still be required according to COVID protocols, but costume masks are not permitted at all.
There is no need to be extravagant. Many very imaginative and creative character outfits have been made from items already in the home. We all want this special day to be a fun filled learning experience. Thank you for your cooperation!
