We are excited to welcome volunteers back into our schools this year! If you are interested in volunteering (chaperones, room parents, party volunteers, learner supports, etc.), please note the following protocols:
1. All visitors and volunteers must have up to date clearances on file at Clayton Avenue. Clearances are not maintained at the individual building and must be taken to central office prior to volunteering.
NOTE: original expectations for clearances went into effect in 2016 and were good for five years. Please check with Sharon Levick or Deb Brown if you have been volunteering for the last several years to ensure your documents are up to date.
2. As of this year, all volunteers need to review our WASD Volunteer Handbook and sign the Volunteer Contract at the end before volunteering. You only need to do this once a year, but it must be completed before you may volunteer. Please complete this when you are at Clayton Avenue OR watch for this to come home if you are chaperoning and if you are a room parent with the PTO. Others can review it upon arrival or request a copy by contacting Mrs. Brown in the Fairview office.
3. All visitors and volunteers will need to complete a COVID screening form upon arriving at a WASD building to volunteer. Please allow time for this when you come.
