FAFSA (Free Application For Federal Student Aid)
October 1st is when students/parents can start applying for federal aid for college through the FAFSA website. A parent or guardian has to create an account, or FSAID, to begin the application.

After your FAFSA form is completed and you have in-state colleges on your list, you will be prompted to complete the PHEAA Grant form. This application takes about 5 minutes and it could qualify you for more free money! Below is the link for the application.
Some highly selective colleges require students to fill out the CSS Profile in addition to the FAFSA. If you school requires this financial aid form, check out this pdf for more information.
