Updated information

Good afternoon WASD families,

This is Dr. Tod Kline Superintendent of the Waynesboro Area School District with an informational update for WASD families/learners.

As we continue to navigate through the challenges of this school closure, daily announcements from the Pennsylvania Department of Education continue to give us insights to the evolving situation.  There are still many unanswered questions but one thing is for certain, all the PSSAs and Keystones assessments have been cancelled for this spring.

This week our faculty and staff have been working on various assignments to include: cleaning buildings, serving student lunches, and participating in professional development.  Please reference the WASD website for K-12 learning resources and other support resources for learners/families.  This listing is just for families/learners to reference for at home learning options and are not required assignments.

Beginning next week, we're going to modify the meal service to Monday, Wednesday and Friday. On Monday and Wednesday, children will receive 2 lunches and 2 breakfasts. Fridays, children will receive one lunch and one breakfast. Thank you very much for your understanding and support.  Stay healthy and stay strong!

Sincerely,

Dr. Tod Kline

Superintendent, Waynesboro Area School District
