The District....Now

The district's 4200+ students attend classes in four elementary schools, a middle school (grades 6, 7 & 8), and one high school (grades 9-12). One elementary school, the middle school, and the high school are located in an educational park in the heart of Waynesboro, adjacent to the community's hospital and YMCA, thus providing additional physical education and work experience.

The school district offers a comprehensive curriculum to meet the needs of a diverse student population. Communication Arts (reading, writing, listening, & speaking), mathematics, science, social studies, foreign language, health, art, music, and physical education represent the core K-12 curriculum. Outdoor learning experiences and field trips enhance the elementary program. Instruction through balanced literacy strategies accommodates the developmental level of each student. Special education services are provided for eligible students.
